چکیده

Oblique photography technology as an excellent method for 3-D city model construction has brought itself to large-scale recognition and undeniable high social status. Tilt and vertical images with the high overlaps and different visual angles can produce a large number of dense matching point clouds data with spectral information. This paper presents a method of buildings reconstruction with stereo matching dense point clouds from aerial oblique images, which includes segmentation of buildings and reconstruction of building roofs. We summarize the characteristics of stereo matching point clouds from aerial oblique images and outline the problems with existing methods. Then we present the method for segmentation of building roofs, which based on colors and geometrical derivatives such as normal and curvature. Finally, a building reconstruction approach is developed based on the geometrical relationship. The experiment and analysis show that the methods are effective on building reconstruction with stereo matching point clouds from aerial oblique images. * Corresponding author

Multi-view 3d City Model Generation with Image Sequences

Rapid texture mapping of buildings and other man-made objects is a key aspect for reconstruction of 3D city landscapes. An effective approach by the way of coarse-to-fine 3D city model generation based on digital photogrammetric theory is proposed. Three image sequences, two oblique photography to buildings’ walls and one vertical photography to building’s roof, acquired by digital video camera...

Extracting Semantically Annotated 3d Building Models with Textures from Oblique Aerial Imagery

This paper proposes a method for the reconstruction of city buildings with automatically derived textures that can be directly used for façade element classification. Oblique and nadir aerial imagery recorded by a multi-head camera system is transformed into dense 3D point clouds and evaluated statistically in order to extract the hull of the structures. For the resulting wall, roof and ground ...

Urban Land Cover Classification of Oblique Aerial Imagery Using Object-based Image Analysis Method

By means of airborne multiple camera imaging system, we can acquire vertical and oblique aerial images (VAI and OAI) at the same time. In addition to the reduction of data cost, the OAI can also strengthen the imaging geometry during aerial triangulation and be applied on automatic façade texture mapping. With the development of image matching technique, instead of airborne laser scanning (ALS)...
